Yamulee was formed by Osmar Perrones after he left Santo Rico dance company. Upon forming his own company Osmar focused himself on developing a new era of mambo.



The name Yamulee has African roots meaning 'festive, joyous, and free-spirited' which fits the themes of the group choreographies.
