Suavemente Salsa was founded by Fernando Gutierrez. Fernando, originally from Guatemala, started dancing salsa socially in 1998. Like many he very quickly became a salsaholic and travels regularly to salsa congresses across Europe and Latin America every chance he gets. He started teaching Salsa as a hobby to close friends in 2001.
Today, our team comprises of 6 core teachers Lisa, Claire, Patrick, Conor, Colm and Fernando as well as DJ Gary and DJ Edwin 'El Diablo' Avila. All the team are very experienced dancers, salsa instructors and DJs.
Our instructors have a reputation for teaching 'dance floor friendly' moves or as Fernando puts it 'do-able' moves.
